Hope you don't have a cracked head. The only time i ever hot is in a hard climb, and even then it manifests as high oil temp, my cht/coolant temps stay well in the green.

My 912ul is an older one that has cylinder head temperature sensors and as such do not actually contact any fluid. Cap appears to be in good functioning condition.

I guess the load on the gearbox causes the oil temp rise, so maybe it's time to open the gearbox and have a look. 50f air temp, 160f coolant temp.

I decided to measure the actual cylinder head temps, at the location of the sensor, using a good quality infrared thermometer after shutdown.
