7.3 Diesel In Coolant
7.3 Diesel In Coolant. The most common and really the only cause is to have bad injector cups. After looking through a bunch of posts, it seems that if it was the oil cooler, there would be oil in the coolant, not the other way around.

I have cleaned outside of the radiator with pressure hose really didnt get much if any dirt out of it, coolant looks really clean. Go drive it or let it run at 1200 rpm for about an hour. Lastly, fuel contamination of the cooling system can have long lasting affects.

My 2001 power stroke 7.3 is overheating while under a load anytime i get over bout 55mph ,when i get under 55 mph temp goes back to normal. Later model idis have plugs pressed into the heads here, so it won't leak even without the valley pan gasket. I have had two truck with injector cups go bad and the only symptom i had was fuel in the coolant, not any of the other symptoms you mentioned, maybe i just caught it in time.

This Is The Simplest To Replace And Cheapest.
I have flushed with distilled water several times and need to fill it back up with the proper coolant. Another popular train of thought is the timing cover, so that is where i started. More than likely you didn't get all of the fuel out of the cooling system.

Is that true 6.0 engines show some kind of problem mixing oil with coolant after 100k miles. I replaced the thermostat and radiator on my recently acquired '91 7.3 turbo. There are water passages to each cup to keep them cool.
